Guro District to Hold 'Social Economy Social Market' on May 31

21 Social Economy Enterprises and Organizations in Guro District to Participate
Various Experience, Sales, and Promotion Booths to Be Operated

Guro District (District Mayor Jang Inhong) will hold the '2025 Guro District Social Economy Social Market' at 11:00 a.m. on May 31 in the plaza in front of Exit 3 of Oryu-dong Station.

The 'Social Economy Social Market,' jointly hosted by the Guro Social Economy Social Cooperative and the Guro Social Economy Integrated Support Center, is held annually to enhance residents' understanding and interest in the social economy and to promote exchange and harmony among social economy enterprises.

This year's event, under the theme 'Guro Social Economy Is Great,' will feature 21 social economy enterprises and organizations based in Guro District. They will promote and sell eco-friendly, fair trade, and social economy products.

In addition, a variety of programs are prepared to help participants understand the characteristics of the social economy and experience its products, including upcycling experiences, mini puzzle activities, multicultural doll and accessory making, cookie icing and coffee grounds crafting, keychain making, and traditional liquor tasting.

The district expects that this event will support the expansion of sales channels for social economy enterprises and provide a valuable opportunity for residents interested in the social economy to purchase high-quality products at affordable prices.

Furthermore, at 1:00 p.m., the opening ceremony of the Social Economy Social Market will be attended by Guro District Mayor Jang Inhong and other key guests, who will deliver congratulatory remarks and join local residents in supporting the revitalization of the social economy.
