In particular, the county selected 14 key indicators for special management, aiming for a 100% achievement rate by managing them thoroughly.

The joint evaluation of major city and county tasks is conducted by Gyeongnam Province for 18 cities and counties in the province, in connection with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's government joint evaluation, comprehensively assessing the outcomes of key national policies and provincial priority initiatives.

The evaluation is based on a total of 118 indicators, including 91 indicators linked to the government joint evaluation and 27 indicators for provincial priority initiatives (99 quantitative indicators and 19 qualitative indicators). Incentives are awarded to outstanding local governments.

Previously, in the 2025 (2024 performance) joint evaluation of major city and county tasks, Sancheong County ranked first in Gyeongnam, achieving a goal attainment rate of 97.9% in the quantitative evaluation, the highest among both cities and counties.

Additionally, the county was selected for two outstanding cases in the qualitative evaluation, received an award for excellence, and was granted a financial incentive of 186 million won.

A Sancheong County official stated, "Whether or not we achieve our goals depends on the interest and efforts of all departments, including those responsible for each indicator, so every department will work together and do their utmost to achieve the targets."
