As the June 3 presidential election campaign enters its final stage, a wave of public declarations supporting Lee Jae Myung, the Democratic Party candidate, continues day after day.

This is seen as the result of the Democratic Party's election committee making active efforts to achieve a 90% voter turnout, and these efforts are believed to have resonated with local professional organizations in the region.

The Korea Companion Animal Industry Development Association stated, "The companion animal culture is an important value that has a positive impact on society as a whole, and it is also a key factor in fostering emotional bonds." The Gwangju branch of the Korea Association of Realtors also declared its support for Lee Jae Myung after holding a policy agreement ceremony with the Democratic Party's Gwangju City Party. The association and the Democratic Party agreed to closely consult on four issues: converting the Korea Association of Realtors into a statutory organization, improving the penalty system, clarifying the legal status of key money as a brokerage target, and preventing indiscriminate direct transactions on large platforms.

In the subsequent declaration, the association emphasized, "We actively support Lee Jae Myung in order to protect the rights and interests of real estate agents and to address our pressing issues, thereby establishing a sound order in real estate transactions."

On the same day, 100 young people in their 20s and 30s in the region also issued a statement of support, saying, "We look forward to policies such as youth future savings accounts, expanded exemption of student loan interest, increased supply of tailored public housing and public dormitories, job creation in advanced industries, renewable energy, and AI industries, and the expansion of K-content and K-culture." They added, "Candidate Lee Jae Myung truly understands the essence of youth issues."

The young people stated, "Candidate Lee is a pragmatic politician who goes beyond ideology and focuses on improving people's lives," and pledged, "Gwangju's youth will work together to open new paths so that we can stand proudly both in the region and in the world."

Meanwhile, the Korea Mechanical Equipment Association, the Korea Electric Power Gwangju-Jeonnam Labor Union Branch Leaders, the Renewable Energy Business Council, and the candidate's direct Global Responsible Power Committee also publicly declared their support.
