Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance announced on May 26 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Air Seoul regarding overseas travel insurance and flight ticket cancellation penalty compensation insurance.
When purchasing a ticket through Air Seoul, customers can sign up for two travel-related insurance products from Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance at once via a banner after completing their reservation.

Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance recommends customized overseas travel insurance plans based on factors such as travel destination and whether children are accompanying the traveler. Air Seoul customers can also purchase flight ticket cancellation penalty compensation insurance. By enrolling in this insurance, customers can receive compensation for refund penalties imposed by the airline from 90 days prior to departure if they cancel their ticket due to significant personal reasons.
Beomjin Lee, President of Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance Corporate Insurance Division, stated, "With this MOU, customers using Air Seoul can easily enroll in overseas travel insurance and flight ticket cancellation penalty compensation insurance without entering itinerary information."
