Marking its 10th anniversary, IO&Co Korea Co., Ltd. has announced a new leap forward by changing its corporate name to YESBEE Inc. This change is a strategic move aimed at strengthening the brand identity of its core services and enhancing communication capabilities in the global market.
The new name YESBEE, created by combining 'Yes' and 'Bee', aims to unify the brand and corporate name for a stronger sense of identity and to establish a more approachable image. YESBEE plans to move beyond simple K-brand consumer goods trading by internalizing fulfillment functions, and from this year, will focus on its role as a brand accelerator.
YESBEE is a global distribution platform that curates popular K-brands and exports them at wholesale prices to over 7,800 member companies in 160 countries. Additionally, its 'YESBEE Plus' service, which has been in preparation since 2021, is expanding its influence in both online and offline markets in Japan by acting as a brand accelerator that helps early-stage indie brands establish themselves in overseas retail markets. Currently, YESBEE has signed exclusive distribution agreements in Japan for more than 10 K-brands and is supplying products to over 7,000 offline stores. Major clients include Don Quijote, Lawson convenience stores, Loft, Plaza, Matsumoto Kiyoshi, Sundrug, and Sugi Pharmacy.
This year, YESBEE has expanded its categories to include K-pop idol merchandise and photobooks, and has broadened its business scope to cover idol concert ticket sales in Japan. By distributing a variety of IP-related products through Qoo10 Japan, Lawson, and Don Quijote, YESBEE's export sales as of April this year have increased 3.5 times compared to the same period last year, already surpassing last year's total sales and achieving a turnaround to profitability.
The YESBEE Hive Center, which has relocated and expanded to Gimpo, Gyeonggi-do, is strengthening its competitiveness by providing the lowest-cost shipping for cross-border e-commerce to Japan through Qoo10 Japan, Rakuten, and Amazon, supporting express delivery to over 160 countries, and offering same-day pickup-based international shipping, actively responding to global export demand.
Brands joining the YESBEE platform receive a comprehensive range of brand incubation services, in addition to B2B exports, including Qoo10 Japan operations management, exclusive distribution and offline entry, local marketing and regulatory support, and studio photography. Actual client companies range from Olive Young-listed brands to indie beauty brands and K-POP distributors, with annual overseas sales growing by more than 50%.
Nam Geonwoo, Executive Director in charge of logistics services, stated, "We aim to be a partner that takes full responsibility for logistics so that brands can focus on their core business," adding, "The YESBEE Hive Center will support the growth of client companies by providing services similar to those of banking and finance, transparently connecting and managing corporate assets."
A YESBEE representative commented, "The name change is not a simple replacement, but a declaration symbolizing YESBEE's business philosophy and a new strategy for entering the global market," and added, "With an intuitive service brand identity, we expect to secure a highly loyal customer base."
