"The Education I Want,
A Time for Personal Growth"
Boseong County, South Jeolla Province, announced that it operated a customized education program for public officials, titled "The Education I Want! One Day Class," at the Forest Education Center in Jaeamsan Natural Recreation Forest from May 19 to 23.
This program allowed public officials to select topics of personal interest and attend classes for a single day. Moving away from the traditional, one-way delivery method, the program enhanced self-direction and choice, resulting in a highly positive response.

Five courses were offered, one for each day of the week, with approximately 70 participants per course and a total of about 350 public officials over five days. The courses included mental and physical health (Monday), healing (Tuesday), economics and asset management (Wednesday), personal color and photography techniques (Thursday), and a motivational special lecture (Friday). Each course combined theoretical lectures with hands-on activities, which increased engagement and satisfaction.
In particular, on Friday, a special lecture was delivered by attorney Park Junyoung, an expert in retrials, on the theme "Hope That People Give to People," providing an opportunity for public officials to reflect on their mission and roles.
A county official stated, "We hope that the process of choosing and focusing on the education employees want for a day will lead to personal growth and the strengthening of organizational capabilities," adding, "We will continue to expand customized education programs that employees can select for themselves to further increase satisfaction."
