Busan Residents Born Between 1986 and 2007
Apply via Dongbaekjeon App, Total Support for 8,500 People
Can you really watch an 110,000 won performance for just 10,000 won?
The city of Busan is accepting applications for the 'Busan Youth 10,000+ Culture Pass,' which offers young people the opportunity to attend performances. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis via the Dongbaekjeon app starting at 10 a.m. on May 28.
This program is available to young people aged 18 to 39 (born between 1986 and 2007) who are registered residents of Busan. By paying 10,000 won, participants can receive benefits equivalent to up to 110,000 won for attending performances. The city will support 8,500 people this year.
Applications can be submitted through the policy fund application menu in the Dongbaekjeon app, with 7,500 people eligible for a 100,000 won voucher and 1,000 people eligible for a 50,000 won voucher. If selected, a notification will appear on the screen, and the type of voucher will be announced via an alert message on the same day after eligibility is confirmed.
Those born in 2006 are eligible for the separately operated 'Youth Culture and Arts Pass.' Anyone who used this program or the Culture and Arts Pass last year cannot apply this year.
The Culture Pass can be used for performances designated by the city. This year, a variety of genres are available, including the musical 'Aladdin,' the classical concert 'Emperor and Organ,' and theater and musical packages. The list of performances will be available on the Dongbaekjeon app starting June 9.
The city recommends that applicants issue a digital citizen ID in advance to enhance convenience. The digital citizen ID can be issued through the Dongbaekjeon app and can be used for various services, including policy fund applications.
Kim Guiok, Director of Youth and Industry-Academic Affairs at Busan City, said, "The Busan Youth 10,000+ Culture Pass is a unique youth culture policy found only in Busan, and its key feature is that anyone can apply regardless of income."
