The Seoul International Garden Expo is an eco-friendly project by the Seoul Metropolitan Government aimed at creating a 'garden city, Seoul.' This year marks the 10th edition of the event. It is being held at Boramae Park in Seoul for approximately five months, from May 22 to October 20, and is expected to provide citizens with a space for relaxation and healing through nature and gardens.

The opening ceremony was attended by Kang Jindoo, Head of the Management Planning Group at KB Securities, Oh Sehoon, Mayor of Seoul, as well as representatives from participating companies, organizations, artists, stakeholders, and many citizens. The event featured a variety of opening programs, including a pre-ceremony performance by the Air Force military band and honor guard, as well as an awards ceremony for the garden contest.

Last year, KB Securities introduced its first Kkebi Garden at the '2024 Seoul International Garden Expo' held at Ttukseom Hangang Park. This year, the company established its second Kkebi Garden at Boramae Park, continuing its commitment to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management and sustainable social contribution activities.

The new Kkebi Garden features a yellow-themed design, reflecting KB Securities' signature color. Zigzagging uphill stairs inspired by golden coins and gift box-shaped sculptures come together to create a bright and dynamic atmosphere. At the top of the garden, a yellow stone seat engraved with the word 'Kkebi' provides a photo spot where visitors can rest for a moment.

Additionally, from May 22 to 25, KB Securities operated a Kkebi Garden promotional booth and held citizen participation events. Visitors who took commemorative photos in the garden and then visited the promotional booth to verify their participation received an eco-friendly tote bag produced by KB Securities, an event that was met with great enthusiasm from citizens.

The second Kkebi Garden, newly established this year, will not be a temporary installation but will remain as a permanent garden managed by the Seoul Metropolitan Government even after the expo, serving as an ongoing rest area for citizens.

Kang Jindoo, Head of the Management Planning Group at KB Securities, stated, "KB Securities considers mutual growth a core value and aims to contribute to solving environmental issues through various eco-friendly social contribution activities." He added, "It is very meaningful to be able to provide a comfortable resting place for citizens by creating the Kkebi Garden again this year, following last year." He further said, "We will continue to practice ESG management as a socially responsible company that considers not only finance but also the environment."
