Chinese robot vacuum manufacturer Roborock has officially launched a new premium robot vacuum cleaner, which is the world's first to feature a 5-axis robotic arm.
On May 26, Roborock announced the official release of the 'Saros Z70'. The Saros Z70's foldable 5-axis robotic arm, called 'OmniGrip', is equipped with precision sensors, a camera, and LED lighting, allowing the robot to detect the position, surrounding environment, and weight of the object it intends to pick up. The product was first unveiled in January at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, USA.
The Saros Z70 can pick up and move household items weighing up to 300g, such as socks, tissues, and slippers, to designated locations. In addition to 108 pre-learned objects, users can train the device to recognize up to 50 additional new objects through AI-based personalized settings.
With its ultra-slim design measuring just 7.98cm in thickness, the Saros Z70 can easily clean low spaces such as under furniture. It features a 22,000Pa HyperForce suction power, a dual anti-tangle system, and dual spinning mop functionality to remove dust and dirt from floors. The adaptive height adjustment feature allows the brush, mop, and main unit to be adjusted according to the cleaning environment, while the 'Chassis Lift System', which lifts the front wheels, enables the device to smoothly cross double thresholds up to 4cm high.
Additionally, the AI-based navigation system 'StarSight Autonomous System 2.0' and the 'VertiBeam' side obstacle avoidance function enable the device to set precise routes and clean efficiently even in complex environments. The app supports a range of smart features, including real-time monitoring of cleaning status, setting cleaning zones, and managing schedules.
The Multi-Function Docking Station 4.0 offers fully automated maintenance features, including automatic dust emptying, 80°C hot water mop washing, 80°C hot water dock self-cleaning, 55°C hot air drying, 2.5-hour fast charging, and an automatic detergent dispenser.
The Saros Z70 supports Matter 1.4, the smart home standard protocol, allowing integration with major smart home platforms such as Apple Home, Google Home, and Amazon Alexa. The new product comes with a five-year free warranty and after-sales service period.
To celebrate the official launch of the Saros Z70, Roborock plans to run a variety of online and offline promotions, including discounts on major online platforms, free gift events, offline pop-ups, and influencer collaborations.
A Roborock representative stated, "The Roborock Saros Z70 goes beyond floor cleaning to also organize items, surpassing the limitations of conventional robot vacuum cleaners," adding, "We will continue to introduce innovative features that bring us closer to household automation, tailored to the lifestyles of domestic consumers."
