Dual-Track Strategy for Recruitment and Development
Aiming to Secure 1,000 Professionals by Year-End

LG CNS announced on May 26 that it is recruiting experienced professionals across all areas of artificial intelligence (AI).

This recruitment drive covers 11 AI-related positions, including AI Scientist, AI Engineer, AI Architect, AI Application Developer, AI Analysis and Design, AI Infrastructure Technology Specialist, AI Tech Consultant, AI Service Design Consultant, and Data Engineer.

LG CNS is focusing this recruitment on finding on-site "AI players." To this end, the company established the "AX Role and Competency Framework" this year, which defines the roles and required competencies for each AX (AI transformation) position. Experts from each field participated in developing this framework, which addresses the question of "how to apply AI technology in the field." The AX Role and Competency Framework will be used as a practical, work-oriented recruitment standard.

Even after recruitment, LG CNS operates programs to help employees grow as AI experts. The company offers opportunities for AI professionals to be dispatched to Cohere's headquarters in Toronto, Canada, where they can participate in joint projects and learn new technologies. In March, LG CNS signed Korea's first partnership with Cohere for the joint development of agentic AI services.

The company also actively supports employees in obtaining AI-related certifications. LG CNS covers the full exam fees for AI, machine learning (ML), and data analytics certifications from global cloud service providers (CSPs) such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft. Employees who pass these exams receive additional allowances and congratulatory bonuses.

LG CNS provides customized training for each AI position. Training programs cover everything from basic theories on AI and data to specialized courses such as large language model (LLM) application development, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) utilization, and practical testing. Employees who complete the training and meet the criteria for AI project experience and technical evaluation are awarded the in-house "AX Expert" qualification.

LG CNS implements a company-wide flexible work system, allowing employees to choose their preferred time and place of work. The company operates 102 hub offices across the Seoul metropolitan area, including Gangnam, Pangyo, Seongnam, Yeouido, and Gwanghwamun. In addition, LG CNS has introduced a technical competency level assessment system that rewards high-performing employees regardless of age or rank, operating a merit-based HR system. Based on the results of technical tests created by internal and external IT experts, employees are comprehensively evaluated on job-specific and general competencies, classified into five levels, and this is reflected in their annual salary and HR evaluations.

With its dual-track strategy of recruitment and development, LG CNS aims to secure 1,000 AI professionals by the end of this year. An LG CNS representative stated, "As a leading AX company, LG CNS is dedicated not only to recruiting top talent but also to nurturing them. We will provide the optimal environment for talented individuals who want to directly solve customers' AX challenges, by quickly validating and applying the latest AI technologies as the best-in-class company in the field."
