Yeongdeungpo District (District Mayor Choi Hokwon) announced that it will begin accepting reservation applications, giving priority to district residents, for two new indoor park golf courses set to open in June. Reservations can be made until May 31.

The indoor park golf courses are facilities long awaited by local residents, with a total of seven locations targeted to open this year. The first two official facilities opening on June 16 are: 1st location at Singil 3-dong New Office Building (483 Gamasan-ro) and 2nd location at Yeongdeungpo 1 Sports Center (1 Sinpung-ro).

Park golf, which is especially popular among seniors, has been brought indoors so that people can enjoy the sport year-round in a comfortable environment, unaffected by the weather. The first location features two hitting bays, while the second location has one hitting bay. Both facilities offer a variety of courses using the latest digital systems.

Reservation applications are open from May 25 to May 31 and can be made through the Yeongdeungpo District Facilities Management Corporation website. However, non-residents of the district may only apply starting from May 28.

The facilities operate from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays. They are closed on Sundays and public holidays.

Choi Hokwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, stated, "The indoor park golf courses will make a significant contribution to improving seniors' physical fitness and expanding leisure activities. We will continue to enhance the sports infrastructure so that all residents, including seniors, can enjoy healthy and vibrant lives."
