"He Himself Represents the Outdated Politics That Must Be Replaced"
The Youth Headquarters of the Democratic Party of Korea's Central Election Committee stated on the 24th, "It seems that Lee Joonseok, the Reform New Party candidate, is moving backwards in terms of political progress," and criticized, "His pledge to drastically reduce the functions of the Ministry of Environment or effectively merge it is even more regressive than the pledge made by Kim Moonsoo, the People Power Party candidate."

In a statement released that day, the Youth Headquarters said, "Today's young generation is more sensitive to climate issues than ever before, and not only the central government but also local governments are creating region-specific environmental policies."
The Youth Headquarters further commented, "As expected, in the second debate, candidate Lee once again relied on divisive politics, repeating outdated tactics," and added, "Wearing the mask of youth and monopolizing the symbolic capital of the future, he showed himself to be a typical figure who has long engaged in politics of division."
The Youth Headquarters also stated, "We deeply question whether, from his debut in 2011 as an emergency committee member of the Saenuri Party at the age of 26 to becoming a presidential candidate at 40, he has ever created even a single youth policy that truly changes the daily lives of young people or is felt by them," and pointed out, "It seems he is completely unaware of the fact that he himself is part of the outdated politics that needs to be replaced."
The Youth Headquarters concluded, "The politics of candidate Lee is a future that must be rejected," and added, "We will watch to see whether his political end will result in unification with the remnants of the rebellion forces."
