According to industry sources on May 25, 'Confier Selection' will open on the 6th floor of Lotte World Mall Jamsil on June 9, marking the first time this brand has entered the domestic retail industry. This is a new brand introduced by 'Confier,' a Korean-French fine dining restaurant that interprets Korea’s seasonal ingredients through a four-season theme. Last year, Confier was selected as a representative fine dining brand by the influential U.S. trend magazine 'Cool Hunting.' Confier Selection will reinterpret signature dishes that have long been beloved at Confier, offering them as shorter courses and a la carte options for a more accessible dining experience.
Lotte Department Store is also expanding its lineup of dining brands making their debut at the retailer. On June 1, 'Bunjirou,' a premium tonkatsu brand from Nagasaki, Japan, will open on the 5th floor of Lotte World Mall. Previously, Bunjirou opened its first store at the main branch of Lotte Department Store, the first of its kind in the domestic retail sector, and later expanded to Time Villas Suwon before opening this third location at Lotte World Mall Jamsil. The new store will feature exclusive menu items such as 'Tonkatsu Curry' and will introduce a new bar table interior design.
On June 13, 'Mipohouse,' a renowned seafood jang specialty restaurant from Busan, will also open on the 5th floor of Lotte World Mall. More than 60% of Mipohouse’s guests are from outside Busan or are international tourists. Following the opening of its first store at the main branch of Lotte Department Store in December last year, Mipohouse is now adding another location.
Earlier, on May 21, the main building of the Jamsil branch opened the first 'Boutique Hoshikai' store on its 11th floor. This brand is a collaboration between Lotte Department Store and 'Sushi Hoshikai,' Jeju’s first fine dining omakase brand. Last month, Lotte World Mall became the first in the industry to open 'Seoryeong,' a restaurant specializing in Pyongyang cold noodles. In addition, Jamsil Avenuel has been steadily expanding its premium dining options since two years ago, achieving double-digit sales growth in the food and beverage (F&B) sector last year.
Choi Hyeongmo, Head of the Food Division at Lotte Department Store, stated, "As customers’ culinary preferences become more sophisticated, demand for enjoying premium dining in everyday life continues to grow. Lotte Town Jamsil will continue to proactively discover and introduce innovative F&B content in line with culinary trends, solidifying its position as a leading gastronomic landmark in Seoul."
