Selection of Outstanding Departments and Employees through National Sinmungo and Civil Service Mileage Evaluation
Damyang County in South Jeolla Province announced on May 23 that it will recognize outstanding departments and employees who have provided prompt and accurate civil service to residents.
The evaluation is conducted twice a year, divided into the first and second halves (June and December), and is operated in two categories: "Outstanding Departments in the National Sinmungo" and the "Civil Service Processing Mileage System."
In the National Sinmungo category, departments are evaluated based on five criteria: compliance with processing deadlines, quality of responses, number of civil complaints handled, citizen satisfaction, and the number of policy Q&A posts. One department each is selected as the top and excellent department.
In addition, through the "Civil Service Mileage System," which awards points based on how much the processing period for civil complaints with a statutory period of two days or more has been shortened, three individual employees will be recognized with the Top Award, Excellence Award, and Encouragement Award.
A county official stated, "By encouraging hardworking employees and departments, we aim to provide better civil service to residents and boost the morale of responsible public officials," adding, "We will continue to do our best to enhance our capabilities in responding to civil complaints."
