Official Launch of Innovation Activities Led by Young Public Officials
Yeongju City Holds Ceremony for the 2025 Y-Junior Board
On May 23, Yeongju City in North Gyeongsang Province held the launch ceremony for the '2025 Y-Junior Board' in the city hall auditorium, marking the official start of activities aimed at improving organizational culture and developing new policies led by young public officials.
The 'Y-Junior Board' is an innovation club in Yeongju City, composed of 20 public officials in their 20s and 30s with less than seven years of work experience, organized into five teams. Through a variety of educational programs and hands-on field experiences, the board identifies problems encountered throughout city administration and proposes practical solutions through open suggestions.
This launch ceremony was organized to share the operational direction of the Junior Board and to instill a sense of pride among participants. The event included an overview of the operational plan, the presentation of appointment letters, and training sessions on gender equality and gender sensitivity.
Over the next seven months, the Y-Junior Board will strengthen its capacity for innovation through workshops, regular meetings, and field trips to advanced sites. In November, each team will present its proposals at a performance report meeting. Based on these results, Yeongju City plans to select and award the best proposal teams.
Lee Jaehun, acting mayor of Yeongju City, stated, "I expect that the challenging ideas and creative initiatives of our young public officials will bring fresh changes to city administration," adding, "We will provide full support to ensure that your ideas can be reflected in actual policies."
