The Only One in the Refining and Petrochemical Industry... "Field-Oriented Leadership"
Anwar Al Hizazi, CEO of S-Oil, has received the 55th "Korea CEO Award." This recognition was given for his successful leadership of the large-scale refining·petrochemical integration project "Shaheen," which contributed to the advancement of domestic industry and made significant social contributions.
On May 23, S-Oil announced that CEO Al Hizazi had been awarded the Korea CEO Award, organized by the Korea Management Association (KMA). Established in 1969, this award selects recipients based on management performance and social responsibility, following a review by experts from academia and industry.
CEO Al Hizazi was recognized for his role in leading the "Shaheen" project, the largest petrochemical facility project in Korea with an investment of 9.258 trillion won, contributing to job creation and revitalization of the local economy. This project, located in the Onsan National Industrial Complex in Ulju-gun, Ulsan, involves more than 17,000 workers each day and aims for mechanical completion in the first half of next year. Notably, this project is the first in the world to apply the new "TC2C (Thermal Crude to Chemicals)" technology, which directly converts crude oil into chemical products, thereby maximizing the efficiency of the refining process.
