First "Garage" Store Features Plant-Based Materials and Nature-Inspired Mood

LF announced on May 23 that the American footwear brand KEEN, which it imports, has opened its fifth store in Korea and its first "Garage" store at Starfield Goyang.

The Garage store is a medium-to-large-scale concept store. Reflecting the brand concept of bridging nature and the city, the interior is decorated with abundant wood and plants. Currently, there are three Garage stores in the United States and eleven in Japan. The Starfield Goyang location is the first in Korea. Starfield Goyang is a popular shopping destination frequented by families ranging in age from teenagers to those in their fifties, making it an ideal location to showcase KEEN's wide range of sizes and styles. The store covers 66 square meters (20 pyeong), making it the largest KEEN store in Korea.

KEEN utilizes the spacious environment unique to shopping malls to display its entire product lineup, including footwear, apparel, bags, and hats. At the same time, the store is designed as a space where customers can experience KEEN's signature functionality and lifestyle sensibility, with plans to further engage with the growing community of gorpcore enthusiasts.

To celebrate the store opening, a variety of promotions are being held. Two new colors of the Jasper model?Birch and Bison?will be exclusively pre-released at this location for the upcoming fall and winter seasons. All customers who make a purchase will receive, on a first-come, first-served basis, a keyring, masking tape, and sticker pack that reflect the brand's identity. In addition, to mark the summer season, customers who purchase sandals will receive an accessory kit for customizing their shoes.

An LF Footwear Division representative stated, "Thanks to the interest and support from our customers, we are able to introduce Korea's first Garage store," adding, "We hope you will experience KEEN's diverse products and brand sensibility in this unique space that feels as if a scene from nature has been brought indoors."

Meanwhile, KEEN is a gorpcore brand that encompasses a wide range of activities, from everyday life to outdoor pursuits such as camping and hiking.
