Busan Veterans Affairs Office Holds Traveling Education on Veteran Support System at Jeju Military Units

"No Worries After Discharge"
A Reliable Support System for Discharged Veterans

The Veteran Support Center of the Busan Regional Office of Veterans Affairs (Director Namil Lee) conducted a traveling education session on the veteran support system for soldiers scheduled for discharge, visiting military units in the Jeju region on May 22.

This education is part of a career transition support program designed to help soldiers smoothly transition into society after discharge. It was held over two days and one night at the 9th Marine Brigade and the Mobile Fleet Command. More than 100 officers and soldiers about to be discharged attended the event, showing great interest.

On this day, the center provided guidance on the national veterans affairs system, support policies for veterans, and the current operation of the career transition support center. They also offered a variety of practical information to help participants prepare for reemployment or entrepreneurship after discharge.

In particular, with the message "The center is with you after your discharge," the center emphasized its commitment to being a strong support for veterans in their post-military lives.

An official from the Busan Veteran Support Center stated, "It is our mission to provide close support so that veterans who have served the country can start a new life with confidence after discharge," adding, "We will continue to provide practical information to soldiers through various on-site programs."

The Veteran Support Center operates at ten locations nationwide, offering customized employment and entrepreneurship services for discharged veterans who have served for five years or more in mid- to long-term positions. These services include one-on-one career counseling, job information, support for education and training expenses, and career transition support funds.

In addition, companies seeking outstanding talent can receive direct recommendations through the center, which also serves as a bridge for public-private cooperation.
