In celebration of its 55th anniversary, BNK Gyeongnam Bank brought together executives, employees, and local residents to share the joy of its founding and to outline the bank’s future direction.
On May 22, BNK Gyeongnam Bank held its “55th Anniversary Ceremony” at the main auditorium of its headquarters to mark the anniversary of its founding.
The ceremony began with a congratulatory video from Bin Daein, Chairman of BNK Financial Group, and a video featuring the participation of executives and employees. This was followed by a commemorative address, a scholarship award ceremony, and an awards presentation for long-serving and outstanding employees.
The opening performance featured a VR drawing show by artist Yeom Donggyun, themed “55 Years Blooming in Our Name.” The show expressed the message that BNK Gyeongnam Bank exists thanks to its customers and employees, and conveyed the hope that the bank will continue to walk a path of prosperity together with its customers.
In his commemorative address, Kim Taehan, President of BNK Gyeongnam Bank, stated, “Fifty-five years ago, BNK Gyeongnam Bank was founded in response to the earnest wishes of the local community and has walked alongside the region ever since. By staying close to the lives of our customers and the community, we have established ourselves as a reliable partner in everyday life and have achieved many things. This is thanks to the love and support from our customers and local residents.”
He continued, “We will do our utmost to become a strong partner in planning and building the future of our region. We will expand our customer base through genuine, customer-centered relationship management. As innovation in our work processes and the evolution into multi-bankers are essential, we will strive even harder,” thus outlining the future direction for BNK Gyeongnam Bank.
During the scholarship award ceremony, ten local students with outstanding academic performance took the stage to receive scholarships and certificates from President Kim Taehan.
To commemorate its 55th anniversary, BNK Gyeongnam Bank plans to provide a total of 137 million KRW in scholarships to approximately 213 high-achieving students in the Gyeongnam and Ulsan regions.
The event also included an awards ceremony to recognize employees who have served the bank faithfully for 10, 20, 25, and 30 years, as well as outstanding employees who have demonstrated exceptional capabilities.
After the anniversary ceremony, the bank invited approximately 1,300 customers and local residents to the Changwon Seongsan Art Hall for the “World Opera Tour with BNK Gyeongnam Bank” event, sharing the joy of the anniversary together.
In addition, the bank held a “55th Anniversary Love Food Truck Event,” distributing free beverages such as coffee and ade to around 2,000 local residents passing by the headquarters.
