The Hongseong County Agricultural Technology Center announced on May 22 that it is conducting a pilot rural experience program for students from two Neulbom Schools, in cooperation with the Hongseong County Office of Education.

The Agricultural Technology Center selected Geumdang Elementary School and Yongbong Elementary School, both Neulbom Schools, as the participating schools for this year. The program officially began on March 5 and is being held twice per week, once a week, during the school semester.

The program has selected two farms, Happymom Story and Tobuk Farm, both certified by the Chungnam Office of Education as rural experience farms. The goal is to enhance students' positive perceptions of agriculture by teaching them about the value of rural life and the importance of agriculture.

In addition, the program plans to offer a variety of hands-on activities, such as making snacks using crops that students have grown and harvested themselves.

An official from the County Agricultural Technology Center stated, "We will continue to expand the rural experience program so that more students can gain meaningful experiences in rural areas."
