Inspection of 13 Suppliers... Storage Conditions of Ingredients and More
Imsil County in North Jeolla Province announced on May 22 that it conducted a joint inspection targeting 13 suppliers of school meal ingredients (locally processed products).
The inspection team, consisting of four members (two from Imsil County, one from the Imsil Office of Education, and one nutrition teacher), reviewed documents such as raw material inflow and outflow ledgers and employee health check certificates over the course of May 19 and 20. They also checked whether the hygiene conditions of the facilities and the storage status of ingredients at the business sites were appropriate.

The inspection of locally processed product suppliers targeted companies that process ingredients produced in the province within Imsil and supply them for school meals. The main products include dairy items, tofu products, sauces, and beverages. As a result of the inspection, most suppliers were found to be complying with hygiene management standards, and minor violations were corrected on site through guidance.
County Governor Sim Min stated, "We plan to continue regular inspections of school meal suppliers so that students in their growth period can safely consume locally processed products made from ingredients produced in the region."
