2025 Integrity Promotion Planning Group Meeting Held
Full Commitment to Enhancing Integrity Leadership and Organizational Culture
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) has officially launched a set of intensive anti-corruption and integrity policies aimed at becoming a top-tier institution in terms of integrity.
The office has expressed its determination to conduct a thorough analysis of the weaknesses revealed in last year's integrity assessment by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission and to overhaul its overall integrity system.
On the afternoon of May 21, the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education held the "2025 Integrity Promotion Planning Group Meeting" in the international conference room on the 6th floor of the office's annex building. The meeting focused on discussing comprehensive improvement measures with the goal of achieving the highest grade in integrity. More than 70 participants attended, including Superintendent Kim Seokjun, heads of district education offices, heads of affiliated institutions, senior officials at the department head level or above, and representatives of school principals.
This meeting went beyond a simple review of performance. It focused on a detailed analysis of the causes behind the decline in internal perception identified in last year's comprehensive integrity assessment, as well as on discussing effective countermeasures.
The meeting shared the core tasks of the 2025 comprehensive plan for improving integrity, including: ▲ strengthening integrity leadership among senior officials ▲ establishing a culture of communication based on mutual respect ▲ innovating organizational culture to realize an integrity-based community ▲ expanding integrity education for students.
Superintendent Kim Seokjun stated, "This meeting is more than just a policy briefing; it is a forum for substantive discussion to establish integrity as a core value of Busan education." He added, "In particular, we take the decline in internal trust identified in last year's assessment very seriously, and we will pursue strong, field-oriented improvement measures."
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education plans to pursue practical, action-oriented integrity initiatives in the future, aiming to improve public officials' awareness and restore trust throughout the organization at the same time.
