Serving as Title Sponsor for the 2024-2025 Season
Hankook Tire & Technology (hereafter Hankook Tire) announced on May 22 that it will serve as the title sponsor of Saudi Arabia's prestigious professional football club Al Ittihad for three years, starting with the 2024·2025 season.
Al Ittihad, founded in 1927, is one of Saudi Arabia's top-tier football clubs. Recently, the club secured its 10th league title overall by clinching the championship in the 2024·2025 Saudi Pro League season with two matches remaining. Additionally, Al Ittihad has demonstrated a strong presence on the global stage by winning back-to-back titles in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League.
Hankook Tire plans to strengthen its global sports marketing through its partnership with Al Ittihad established by this sponsorship agreement. By leveraging the club's recognition, which features world-class star players such as Karim Benzema and Moussa Diaby, the company aims to enhance its image as a global top-tier premium brand.
During the contract period, the global unified brand logo "Hankook" will be displayed on LED advertisements inside the stadium, media interview backdrops, and the club's official apparel. In addition, Hankook Tire will promote brand awareness and increase sales in the Middle Eastern market, including Saudi Arabia, through participatory marketing initiatives such as ticket giveaway events that connect online and offline channels.
Hankook Tire is expanding its presence as a global premium brand in emerging markets across the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia. In August of last year, the company collaborated with its official Saudi Arabian dealer, Bin Sehon Group, to launch the world's first full lineup of electric vehicle tires under the iON brand in the local market, introducing the performance tire "iON evo" and "iON evo SUV."
