by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Korea Creative Content Agency

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency announced on May 22 that they are operating the 'Gosanghan Counseling Center' on a permanent basis to protect the rights and interests of those working in the content industry. This is an integrated labor and legal support program established to create a fair content ecosystem. It provides one-on-one, one-stop support for counseling, consulting, and education. Anyone can easily apply online and receive the services free of charge.

Free Labor and Legal Counseling Support for Content Industry Workers

Last year, the Gosanghan Counseling Center provided support for 155 counseling cases. Most of these involved legal consultations on unfair contracts and remedies for investment-related damages. There were also labor consultations on issues such as delayed wage payments and workplace harassment.

This year, the center is placing as much emphasis on labor and legal consulting as before. Labor consulting consists of comprehensive support that covers all aspects of labor management, including drafting employment contracts and designing flexible work systems, as well as labor design support specifically for newly established companies within three years of founding or small businesses with fewer than ten regular employees. The number of supported companies will be expanded to thirty-five, further strengthening the protection of rights and interests.

Legal consulting is provided in cases where in-depth responses are required, such as contract review and litigation cost support, in connection with the consultations received. The center offers practical solutions and safety nets for a variety of legal issues faced by content companies.

In addition, the Gosanghan Counseling Center provides education on labor, legal, and gender equality topics to foster a fair working environment and prevent unfair practices. In particular, legally mandated training on sexual harassment and sexual violence prevention is offered both online and offline. Those wishing to receive counseling or consulting support can apply by email or phone.
