An eco-friendly residential complex with approximately 2,500 households will be developed on a 220,000㎡ site around Sindundoyechon Station on the Gyeonggang Line in Icheon City, Gyeonggi Province, with a project budget of 424.9 billion won.
On May 22, Gyeonggi Province announced that it had given final approval for the designation of the development district and the establishment of a development plan for the Sindundoyechon Station Area Urban Development Project, following a request from Icheon City.
The Sindundoyechon Station Area Urban Development Project aims to create an eco-friendly residential environment accommodating 2,581 households by organically connecting plazas, transfer parking lots, and cultural facilities centered around Sindundoyechon Station, and harmoniously arranging waterfront parks and apartment complexes.

After Icheon City designated the area around Sindundoyechon Station as a specific development promotion district in 2010, Gyeonggi Province has now designated the Sindundoyechon Station Area Urban Development District to promote station area development and supply residential land. This project is expected to make a significant contribution to housing stability for ordinary citizens.
Son Imseong, Director of Urban and Housing Affairs at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Through the Sindundoyechon Station Area Urban Development Project, we expect to promote balanced development in Icheon City and improve the quality of life for citizens," adding, "We will do our best to create a better urban environment."
