'Active Campaigning' Seol Nanyeong Says "Confident Kim Moonsoo Will Ultimately Win"

Seol Nanyeong, the wife of Kim Moonsoo, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, stated on May 21, "Based on Kim Moonsoo's 30 years of election experience, I am convinced that he will ultimately win."

Attending the People Power Party Women's Headquarters' Victory Resolution Rally held at the party's central office in Yeouido, Seoul that afternoon, Seol said, "This election is an important one that will decide whether to choose Kim Moonsoo, who represents integrity, honesty, and fairness, or a candidate associated with corruption, lies, and abusive language."

Seol emphasized, "At this difficult time for the country and its people, I believe that the capable Kim Moonsoo, who has experience in politics, administration, local government, and national governance, must be elected president."

She continued, "According to recent polls, Kim Moonsoo is rapidly catching up with his opponent within the margin of error," and added, "It turns out the real deal is Kim Moonsoo. Please help make him president. Let us move forward together toward victory."

Yoon Jaeok, the chief of the People Power Party's election campaign committee, attended the event and stressed, "We have set a campaign strategy to catch up by 1% each day and overturn the result before the early voting period," adding, "Kim Moonsoo's character is so exceptional that it is hard to find another presidential candidate like him in history."

Lee Inseon, a lawmaker who serves as the head of the Women's Headquarters of the party's central election committee, addressed the female party members in attendance, saying, "After today's Women's Victory Rally, you must promote this by word of mouth," and urged, "Think of yourself as Seol Nanyeong and work hard."

Recently, Seol has increased her media appearances and has been actively campaigning. Drawing on her experience supporting Kim during his three terms as a National Assembly member and two terms as Governor of Gyeonggi Province, she is assisting the campaign by visiting places Kim cannot personally reach.
