2025 KCIA Korea Consumer Industry Evaluation "Cafe/Dessert" Results Announced for Gyeongsang, Jeolla, and Jeju Regions

KCA Korea Consumer Evaluation has announced the results of the 2025 KCIA Korea Consumer Industry Evaluation for the "Cafe/Dessert" sector in the Gyeongsang, Jeolla, and Jeju regions, hosted by the Korea Consumer Council and organized by Korea Consumer Evaluation.

This evaluation aims to realize the eight basic consumer rights guaranteed by Article 4 of the Basic Consumer Act?such as the right to have opinions reflected, the right to receive information, and the right to choose?by publishing consumer evaluation results according to the standard industrial classification for each sector. It also seeks to provide consumers with objective and useful information, thereby improving the quality of consumer life.

The 2025 KCIA Korea Consumer Industry Evaluation "Cafe/Dessert" is conducted annually to promote the continuous growth of the cafe and dessert industries, to encourage the provision of high-quality food and beverage services, and to introduce to the public outstanding businesses that have received high ratings from actual visitors.

For this evaluation, a preliminary survey was conducted nationwide from February to March, based on the number of reviews on portal sites and other sources in the cafe/dessert industry. Candidates who ranked within the top 33.76% were notified, and the final outstanding businesses were selected from the top 0.19% nationwide, according to the evaluation criteria below.

Korea Consumer Evaluation selected outstanding businesses based on the actual experiences of consumers who visited and used the establishments, through a final assessment using six criteria: product satisfaction, accessibility, facility convenience, staff friendliness, interior/atmosphere satisfaction, and overall evaluation. The list of selected businesses is as follows.

A representative from Korea Consumer Evaluation stated, "The cafe/dessert industry is expanding beyond simple food and beverage consumption to provide complex cultural spaces connected to lifestyle. Amid consumer trends that value individuality and experience, outstanding businesses that have reflected the public's tastes and demands and received high ratings from actual visitors have been introduced through this consumer announcement. We hope this will provide consumers with a wider range of choices and a more satisfying experience."

The representative also added, "In line with the purpose and significance of the Korea Consumer Industry Evaluation, we plan to support the revitalization of household consumption for low-income families through 'Sarangui Yeolmae' (Fruit of Love). In particular, through the 'Child Sponsorship Program,' we provide regular support for living expenses, education, and medical costs to children and adolescents from low-income and vulnerable groups, hoping to help them enjoy a healthy childhood and adolescence. We will continue to pay attention and move forward together."
