The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced on May 22 that it had signed a joint business agreement with the Gyeonggi Free Trade Agreement (FTA) Trade Promotion Center at its headquarters on May 21 to promote the "2025 U.S. Georgia Auto Parts Investment Environment Survey Team" project.

Under this agreement, the two organizations have decided to dispatch 10 promising auto parts companies to the state of Georgia in the United States from June 25 to 27. The survey team program will include a local market entry seminar, consultations with state government officials and specialized institutions, visits to manufacturing facilities of companies already operating in the region, and inspections of potential investment sites.
The participating companies are expected to gain an understanding of Georgia's investment environment and obtain practical information necessary for local market entry, such as accounting and labor matters.
The state of Georgia in the United States is a location where major investments have been made by large Korean corporations, including Hyundai Motor Company. Currently, more than 150 Korean companies are operating there. With an efficient logistics network featuring Atlanta International Airport and the Port of Savannah, as well as a business-friendly environment, there is a steady demand for investment from Korean companies.
The survey team also plans to support Korean auto parts companies in establishing production bases in the United States and formulating plans to relocate manufacturing facilities in response to the tariff policies of the Trump administration in the United States.
Jinwon Hur, Head of KOTRA Overseas Investment Domestic Return Support Office, stated, "This business agreement will serve as an important opportunity to help Korean companies strengthen their competitiveness in the U.S. market amid growing global uncertainty," adding, "KOTRA will continue to actively support Korean companies' entry into global markets in cooperation with the Gyeonggi FTA Trade Promotion Center."
