Korea Housing Finance Corporation to Hold HF Housing Finance Conference: "Reflecting on 80 Years, Exploring Future Challenges"

Korea Housing Finance Corporation (President Kim Kyunghwan) will hold the '2025 HF Housing Finance Conference' on May 30 at the Bankers Club in Myeong-dong, Seoul. This conference is organized to reflect on the achievements of Korea's housing finance over the past 80 years since liberation and to explore future development strategies.

This year's event, under the theme "80 Years of Housing Finance in Korea and Our Challenges," will feature a keynote speech by Dr. Bertrand Renaud, former Housing Finance Advisor at the World Bank. Following the keynote, Kim Kwanguk, Head of Policy Research at Korea Housing Finance Corporation, will give a presentation titled "Global Aging Society and Reverse Mortgages: Expansion, Risks, and Policy Challenges."

The main program, a panel discussion, will be chaired by Son Jaeyoung, Professor Emeritus at Konkuk University. The panel will include Kwak Noseon, Professor at Sogang University (President of the Korea Money & Finance Association); Nam Youngwoo, Professor at Nazarene University (President of the Korea Housing Association); Noh Seunghan, Professor at Konkuk University (Vice President of the Korea Real Estate Analysis Association); Jeong Dae, Professor at Korea Maritime & Ocean University (President of the Korea Financial Consumers Association); and Cho Hoon, Professor at KAIST (President of the Korea Financial Engineering Association). These leading domestic experts in finance and real estate will engage in a lively discussion on "The Future Direction and Challenges of Korea's Housing Finance."

The conference will be broadcast live on YouTube under the title "2025 HF Housing Finance Conference," and there will also be a real-time prize event for online viewers.

A corporation representative stated, "This conference has enhanced its expertise and credibility by being co-hosted with five domestic academic associations," and added, "It will serve as an opportunity to consider the role and policy direction of sustainable housing finance in a rapidly changing financial environment."
