SK Networks established Haico Capital (now SK Networks America) in Silicon Valley, USA, in 2020 and has continued global technology company cooperation and investment centered on its future growth human network, the Haicosystem. The company explained that the meeting with former Prime Minister Sunak, who visited Korea to attend a global conference, was also made possible by this network.
The two shared their views on the current state of the global economy and discussed ways to promote exchanges between the two countries from the perspectives of a politician and a business leader. They also exchanged opinions on the possibilities and cases of AI collaboration at both national and corporate levels.
Choi introduced SK Group's and SK Networks' AI-based innovation cases and global strategies to former Prime Minister Sunak, stating, "I hope our company's AI business will expand into the UK and other European regions so that we can contribute to the civilization of humanity in line with the times."
Choi is leading SK Networks' transition into an "AI-centered business holding company" by spearheading technology-based AI projects. Last month, the company unveiled innovative air purification and vital sign monitoring features based on AI through "NAMUHX," which was launched at a presentation. NAMUHX is a wellness robotics brand created under SK Networks' AI strategy by utilizing SK Magic's resources, and it is scheduled for official launch in Korea this July, with plans to expand into global markets such as the United States and Malaysia.

Phoenix Lab, an AI startup composed of Silicon Valley talent, unveiled "Chiron," a solution specialized for the pharmaceutical industry using modular RAG at the end of last year, and is preparing to enter the market by building cooperation models tailored to each company's characteristics. The representatives of SK Magic and Phoenix Lab also attended the meeting between Choi and former Prime Minister Sunak.
At the meeting, former Prime Minister Sunak stated, "AI holds the key to revolutionizing the future of drug development with a new level of speed and precision that can help hundreds of millions of patients worldwide," adding, "Phoenix Lab's Chiron appears to be a technology with the potential to play an important role in this innovation."
An SK Networks official said, "We plan to accelerate future growth by enhancing the competitiveness of our existing businesses to deliver results, while also strengthening our global expansion and cooperation."
