Entrance AI CCTV 'CapsHome' Gains Attention as a Service to Alleviate Everyday Anxiety

Single Women Living Alone Seek Home Security Services
From AI Detection to One-Touch Dispatch

'CapsHome', which integrates entrance artificial intelligence (AI) CCTV with dispatch services, is drawing attention. This is due to the growing demand for security systems that can provide practical responses as crimes become more sophisticated.

According to SK Shieldus on May 21, ADT Caps, its physical security brand, offers the entrance AI CCTV 'CapsHome', which goes beyond simple video recording to focus on real-time threat detection and response. When AI detects movement in front of the entrance, it immediately sends a notification to the user and, if necessary, emits a warning sound. Users can communicate with visitors via the app, and in emergencies, they can call an ADT Caps dispatch agent with a one-touch SOS button.

Additionally, CapsHome provides features such as door opening records, Full HD real-time video monitoring, and video storage, making it advantageous for securing evidence in the event of an incident. In fact, more than half of CapsHome users responded that they chose the service to respond to external intrusions and threats. CapsHome is also differentiated in terms of security design. Videos are transmitted via encrypted channels and can only be accessed from the customer's device. The app incorporates anti-tampering and memory protection technologies, and security is continuously managed through regular security checks and penetration tests.

Based on these features, CapsHome has established itself as a practical solution for a wide range of customers, including single-person households and dual-income couples whose children are often home alone. Hwang (24), who lives in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, said, "I was always anxious about who might be in front of my door, but after installing CapsHome, my daily tension has greatly decreased." Yoon (29), who lives alone in Seoul, also said, "I used to be sensitive to noises at the entrance at night, but after installing CapsHome, my anxiety has lessened. I also feel much more at ease because I can check the situation at home in real time even when I'm at work."

CapsHome also offers compensation of up to 500,000 won for lost parcels, and up to 10 million won and 100 million won, respectively, in the event of theft or fire. This means it provides coverage for actual financial losses in the event of a risk. An ADT Caps representative stated, "CapsHome is more than just a CCTV for monitoring intrusions. It can manage a variety of everyday risks, including theft, fire, and parcel loss. It will become an essential residential service for various customer groups, including single-person households, dual-income couples, and families with elderly parents."
