The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation is set to overhaul its next-generation system, including automating document verification, to enhance the efficiency of its Youth Worker Support Project.
On May 20, the foundation announced that it held a kick-off meeting for the "Next-Generation System Development and Operation Maintenance Project for the Youth Worker Support Project" and will push for a comprehensive digital-based system overhaul, as revealed on May 21.
This initiative is based on the Information Strategy Master Plan (ISMP) established last year. It aims to address the structural limitations of the current system, such as manual verification, fragmented member information, and limited notification functions. The project focuses on improving the efficiency and accessibility of policy implementation.
The next-generation system under development will include document verification automation, the establishment of an integrated management system, data-driven administration, and strengthened linkage with external systems.
The foundation plans to complete system development by the end of this year and will verify its stability through phased inspections and user testing. The system will officially launch in January 2026 and is expected to serve as a digital innovation model for various employment policies, including the Youth Worker Support Project.
Son Ilkwon, head of the Western Business Division at the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation, stated, "Since 2018, the Youth Worker Support Project has been the foundation’s flagship initiative, with 160,000 participants. With the introduction of the next-generation system, accessibility and user convenience for residents of the province are expected to improve significantly." He added, "To ensure stable system operation, the foundation provides technical support such as infrastructure management, security, and integration with external administrative systems through dedicated personnel."
