On the morning of May 20, Oh Seungrok, Mayor of Nowon District, attended the completion ceremony for the 'Hanmoori Culture Park Regeneration Project' held at Hanmoori Culture Park in Gongneung 2-dong.
This regeneration project was carried out to improve the deteriorated park environment and to create an open space for youth and local residents. Renovation work began in February and was completed over approximately four months, culminating in the completion ceremony on this day.
The newly renovated Hanmoori Culture Park features a pergola for seniors installed in the green space next to the Gyeongchunseon Forest Trail, as well as a new pergola in the rest area for youth. Additionally, a basketball court, two-tiered stands, and seating walls have been created to enhance user convenience.
In addition, the park has been transformed into a space that residents of all ages can enjoy comfortably, with the installation of outdoor exercise equipment, replacement of park lights, and the creation of gardens.
Approximately 150 people attended the completion ceremony, including Mayor Oh Seungrok, members of the National Assembly, city and district council members, and local residents. The event proceeded in the following order: progress report, congratulatory remarks, ribbon-cutting, and a tour of the park.
Mayor Oh Seungrok stated, "With summer approaching, I hope you will enjoy this space comfortably, reading books and exercising in the shade," and added, "We will continue to carefully manage neighborhood parks so that they become even more pleasant and safe spaces."
