People Power Party presidential candidate Kim Moonsoo visited Nambugolmok Market in Hwagok-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul on May 20, pledging to revitalize the local economy and address regional issues. At the same time, he criticized Democratic Party candidate Lee Jaemyung's use of bulletproof glass during his campaign events.

At the scene, Kim opened his jacket and declared, "I am not wearing a bulletproof vest," pointing out, "If someone who installs bulletproof glass to protect himself and creates a 'bulletproof National Assembly' becomes president, what will happen to the country?"

He continued, "I am not afraid of the people. If I am to be shot, so be it," directly targeting Lee for what he called excessive personal security as a presidential candidate.

Kim also criticized Lee's trial for violating the Public Official Election Act, stating, "He went all the way to the Supreme Court for spreading false information, and the Chief Justice, Cho Heedae, sent the case back to a lower court with a guilty verdict from the full bench. Yet now, Lee is calling for a special investigation of Chief Justice Cho Heedae. How is that any different from a thief interrogating the Chief Justice? It makes no sense."

Additionally, Kim addressed Lee's recent comment that "the cost of coffee is 120 won," criticizing it as "a remark made without any understanding of the reality faced by small business owners." He emphasized, "Saying the cost of coffee is 120 won will not save small business owners," and stressed the need for policies that reflect the real conditions of self-employed people and small merchants.

Regarding local issues, Kim mentioned the problems of airplane noise and height restrictions in the Hwagok-dong area, promising, "I will work with relevant ministries to improve these regulations." He also stated that he would create jobs by supporting domestic companies and attracting foreign businesses to address the serious youth unemployment problem.

Finally, citing the successful example of Magok District, he pledged, "I will attract more research institutes, hospitals, and companies to Gangseo-gu," appealing for residents' support. On this day, Kim concluded his campaign by chanting the slogan of former President Park Chunghee: "It can be done, we can do it, let's try."
