Beautiful Foundation Connection
The Beautiful Foundation announced on May 20 that singer Hyori Lee and her husband Sangsoon Lee donated 200 million won to support the self-reliance of young adults preparing for independence. The donation will be used for academic and living allowances, as well as career exploration activities.
"Young adults preparing for independence" refers to youth who have left child welfare facilities and are taking their first steps into society on their own. Because many of them must become self-sufficient without family or financial support, they are often at risk of falling through the cracks of the welfare system.
This donation is a joint act of giving by Hyori Lee, who has maintained a relationship with the Beautiful Foundation for over 10 years, and Sangsoon Lee, who has consistently shown interest in vulnerable groups. It reflects their hope that these young people will be able to live stable lives and become established members of society.
The couple stated, "We decided to make this donation to provide a small help for the healthy independence of these young adults. We hope that each of them can find their own true selves and dream of their future."
