Infinic and Engia Connect to Develop Next-Generation Control System, Target Entry into Procurement Market

Signing of MOU Between the Two Companies...
Joint Development and Specialization for Public Institutions and Defense Sector

On May 20, Infinic, a company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI), announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Engia Connect, a wireless communication solutions provider. The two companies will jointly develop wireless communication technology based on TV White Space (TVWS) and next-generation control solutions. TVWS refers to frequency bands that remain unused in certain regions to prevent interference between broadcasting stations.

Through this agreement, the two companies plan to jointly design and develop a converged control system that can overcome the limitations of physical communication infrastructure. Based on this, they aim to advance smart control systems in the public and defense sectors and actively pursue entry into the public procurement market.

Engia Connect possesses TVWS-based wireless communication technology that enables long-distance and low-latency communications by utilizing unused digital broadcasting frequencies. Because this technology allows for stable data transmission and reception even in areas where conventional communication networks are difficult to establish, it has high potential for use in mountainous regions, rural and fishing villages, and military operation zones.

Infinic has been developing smart control systems based on vision AI technologies such as object recognition, tracking, and abnormal behavior detection. The company is also expanding into modular AI control solutions tailored to various environments, including tactical vehicles and mobile control AI systems.

Through this collaboration, the two companies plan to implement smart control systems capable of real-time video collection and analysis even in environments with significant infrastructure constraints. They also intend to expand business opportunities in various fields, including public safety, defense, and disaster response.

The two companies aim to register this converged solution as a public procurement product within this year and are currently working to enter the market with control solutions specialized for public institutions and the defense sector.

Park Junhyung, CEO of Infinic, said, "We will realize smart security control without communication blind spots." Kim Yuseok, CEO of Engia Connect, stated, "The convergence of TVWS technology and AI will be a turning point that not only combines technologies but also transforms the control environment itself."
