"Rest, Pause, and Restart"... Yangsan Branch of Ministry of Employment and Labor Holds Youth Communication 'Talk Talk Concert'

Job-Seeking Tips from Industry Professionals,
Talk Show and On-Site Interviews Held

On May 20, the Yangsan Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor (headed by Kwon Guhyung) held the 'Youth Employment Talk Talk Concert' with around 100 local young people at the Gimhae Startup Cafe.

This event was organized as part of the Ministry of Employment and Labor's job-matching program, 'Job Demand Day.' It is one of a series of youth-focused concerts held in relay format by six employment centers in the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam region. The event was hosted by the Gimhae Employment Center, with Gimhae City, Gimhae Biomedical Industry Promotion Agency, Inje University, and Youngsan University jointly participating.

The concert consisted of three parts. In the first part, Shin Changshik, a professional from the General Affairs Team at Binggrae’s Gimhae Plant, shared practical job-seeking know-how and real-life experiences with the young attendees. The participating youths actively engaged in Q&A sessions, receiving a variety of practical advice on employment strategies and resume writing.

The second part was a youth talk show under the theme, "Rest, Pause, and Restart: What Are the Social Conditions for the Lives of Young People?" Panelists included Kwon Guhyung, head of the Yangsan Branch; Hyun Sungjun, co-CEO of TikTok’s official domestic agency; Park Haesung, head of the Gimhae Youth Center Daom; and Son Daesung, youth representative and chairman. Each panelist analyzed youth issues from their own perspectives and delivered messages of encouragement.

Youths in attendance commented, "Unlike formal job fairs, it was comforting to have sincere conversations," and "It was a time to gain courage once again as we step into society."

The third part featured on-site interviews with two leading local companies. About 40 job-seeking youths, selected in advance, had the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities directly in front of interviewers, with the potential to be hired on the spot.

Kwon Guhyung, head of the Yangsan Branch, stated, "This concert was designed to go beyond a simple recruitment event, providing a space where young people could share their stories and find comfort together. We will continue to work with related organizations to help build a brighter future for local youth."
