Kim Hye Kyung, the wife of Lee Jae Myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, continued her outreach in Gwangju and Jeonnam on the 20th. This marks her fourth visit to the region during the election campaign.

According to the Democratic Party, Mrs. Kim volunteered for meal distribution at a senior welfare center in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju in the morning. She then visited a self-sufficiency support institution in Seo-gu, where she met with young people preparing for independence. In the afternoon, she is scheduled to travel to Haenam, Jeonnam to meet with local residents and visit sites such as Daeheungsa Temple.
During the presidential campaign, Mrs. Kim has made four visits to Gwangju and Jeonnam, which are strongholds of Democratic Party support, demonstrating her dedication to the region. On her previous visit to Gwangju on the 14th, she met with families of the May 18 Democratic Uprising and remarked, "Gwangju is like a mother-in-law to me. It is full of love, while also guiding me to follow the right path."
A Democratic Party official stated, "Mrs. Kim always considers Gwangju and Jeonnam to be of great importance and devotes special affection and attention to the region." The official added, "Even during her private schedule, she quietly continues her campaign by visiting various places throughout the region to demonstrate her commitment through action."
