Jung Kimyeong, Mayor of Yeosu, has launched an all-out promotional campaign to encourage citizens to exercise their valuable right to vote ahead of the 21st Presidential Election scheduled for June 3, 2025.

On May 20, Mayor Jung used his personal social networking service (SNS) to appeal to citizens, stating, "Voting is power and the flower of democracy! Let's make sure to cast our precious vote in the 21st Presidential Election." He also called on civic and social organizations to actively create a voting atmosphere by encouraging their members and citizens to participate in the election through their own SNS channels and other means.

Yeosu City plans to boost voter turnout and encourage citizen participation in the election through various online and offline channels. The city is displaying banners at 54 key locations, broadcasting promotional videos encouraging voting on 481 bus information system (BIS) screens, in 27 town and township civil service offices, at Yi Sunshin Square, and on media boards in apartment elevators. In addition, the city has changed the city hall's call connection tone to a voting information message and is using apartment and village broadcasting systems to further encourage active citizen participation.

Mayor Jung urged, "Please ensure that all citizens can exercise their right to vote without any obstacles by providing smooth guidance on early and absentee voting, and make every effort to properly set up and manage polling stations."
