On May 20, Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK) announced that it has reached the milestone of creating 250,000 jobs at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
IBK was the first in the financial sector to launch a job creation initiative in 2008. After achieving 200,000 jobs created by 2022, the bank has successfully matched approximately 20,000 jobs annually, reaching a cumulative total of 250,000 jobs created as of April 2025.
The 250,000th job recipient is an employee who joined Nicestec. The employee expressed gratitude, saying, "I am very thankful to have learned about a competitive SME through Industrial Bank of Korea."
IBK is actively working to address employment difficulties and workforce shortages through initiatives such as the SME-exclusive recruitment portal i-ONE JOB, the Job Creation Fund, job fairs, and welfare improvement programs for SME employees.
An IBK representative stated, "We will continue to strive to strengthen the competitiveness of SMEs by expanding our job creation initiatives."
