The Jeonnam Provincial Election Commission conducted a comprehensive inspection on May 20 of key equipment used in the voting and ballot counting process, including early voting operation devices, shield fax machines for receiving shipboard ballots, ballot sorting machines, and CCTV viewing locations installed at storage sites for postal ballot boxes, to ensure fair and transparent management of the 21st presidential election scheduled for June 3.

The CCTV footage of storage locations for postal ballot boxes and other equipment will be available for viewing 24 hours a day on monitors installed at the Jeonnam Provincial Election Commission office, starting from May 22, when the postal ballot boxes are set up, without the need for prior application. In addition, if a prior viewing application is submitted, the footage can also be viewed during working hours at each city and county election commission office.

Yang Younghee, Chairperson of the Jeonnam Provincial Election Commission, stated, "Beginning with this inspection, we will make every effort to achieve flawless election management through continuous inspections of ballot paper printing, early voting procedures, and ballot counting facility conditions in the future."
