With this selection, Yangju City and BCD ENC Co., Ltd. will officially launch the project titled 'Demonstration of Safety Inspections for Aging Facilities at Risk of Major Accidents in Yangju City Using Drones.' They will receive approximately 200 million won in national funding and are scheduled to carry out the project until December.
This project aims to prevent major accidents, which have become increasingly important in society.
Targeting aging or high-risk facilities within the city?such as bridges, tunnels, and large structures?the project will utilize BCD ENC Co., Ltd.'s advanced AI-based drone technology to conduct precise safety inspections.
Through this initiative, the city intends to overcome the limitations of visual inspections and establish a scientific, data-driven, and efficient facility maintenance system.
Notably, BCD ENC Co., Ltd. was previously recognized for its technological capabilities in the field by being selected in the '2024 Gyeonggi Province Technology Development Project' for its 'On-Device AI Drone for Disaster Safety Diagnosis of GTX Deep Tunnels.' The company is a leading small and medium-sized enterprise, holding numerous patents and innovative products.
Additionally, the company has been working with the city for two consecutive years to build a drone demonstration city and is also participating in the K-Drone Delivery Commercialization Project.
