This exhibition is a retrospective co-hosted by the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art and the Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain in France, aiming to provide an overview of the artistic world of Australian sculptor Ron Mueck. A total of 24 works are on display, including 10 representative sculptures by Ron Mueck, who has consistently unveiled astonishing new works over the past 30 years, 12 series photographs from his studio, and two documentary films.

Since its opening on April 11, the exhibition has been drawing long lines both inside and outside the entrance every day, gaining significant popularity. On weekends, the average daily number of visitors is 6,777, while on weekdays it is 4,611, resulting in a daily average of 5,600 visitors. This marks the highest attendance for a single exhibition since the opening of the Seoul branch.

The exhibition hall is particularly notable for its large proportion of visitors in their 20s and 30s. Those in their 20s account for 45% and those in their 30s for 28%, meaning that people in their 20s and 30s make up an overwhelming 73% of attendees. Driven by the exhibition's success, the catalog and merchandise have also become popular. Some items, such as eco bags, postcards, and notebooks, have sold out and are now being produced for a second run, and a second print of the catalog is being prepared. In response to inquiries and requests for merchandise, three new T-shirt designs featuring prints of three exhibited works have also recently been stocked.

Since the opening of the 'Ron Mueck' exhibition, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art has gained approximately 70,000 new members. This is a 4.5-fold increase compared to the number of new members during the same period last year, and the number of visitors to the Seoul branch has increased by 145% compared to the previous year.

The exhibition will continue until July 13.
