Yecheon County Selected as 'Outstanding Institution' in First-Quarter Local Fiscal Execution ... Leading Economic Revitalization

Secured 40 Million KRW in Special Grant from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety

Yecheon County in Gyeongbuk has once again proven its financial management capabilities by being selected as an 'Outstanding Institution' in the first-quarter local fiscal execution assessment by both the central government and Gyeongsangbuk-do Province.

This local fiscal execution assessment, conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, comprehensively evaluated the efficiency of fiscal execution and contributions to the regional economy across local governments nationwide.


In the first quarter, the county executed 150.2 billion KRW in the prompt execution category (105% of the target) and 103 billion KRW in the consumption and investment category (123% of the target), exceeding its goals in all areas.


In particular, in the consumption and investment category, which has a significant ripple effect on the local economy, the county executed 30.4 billion KRW more than its target, achieving one of the highest performances nationwide. As a result, Yecheon County secured a special grant of 40 million KRW as a fiscal incentive from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.


The county was also selected as an outstanding institution in Gyeongbuk Province's fiscal execution and consumption and investment assessment in the second half of last year, and has now been recognized in both central and provincial assessments for the first quarter, demonstrating its consistent and systematic financial management capabilities to the public.


Kim Hakdong, Governor of Yecheon County, stated, "I would like to thank all public officials for their dedication to fiscal execution for our residents, even under difficult circumstances such as emergency forest fire duties," and added, "We will continue to do our utmost to revitalize the local economy in ways that residents can truly feel, through proactive and strategic fiscal management."
