Stage Five, an MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator), is providing support for mobile communication expenses for young adults preparing for independence. The term "young adults preparing for independence" refers to individuals up to the age of 24 who are leaving the care of child welfare facilities, group homes (communal living arrangements), or foster care as their protection ends and they begin living on their own.
On May 20, Stage Five announced that, to commemorate the launch of the Findirect 5G Speed Plan, it will provide the Speed 20GB plan free of charge for one year to young adults preparing for independence.
The Findirect Speed Plan consists of the following options: Speed 10GB (9,900 KRW per month), Speed 20GB (18,700 KRW per month), and Speed 30GB (29,700 KRW per month). The Speed 20GB plan, which is expected to see high demand in Korea, offers 20GB of data, 200 minutes of voice calls, and 100 text messages per month for 18,700 KRW.
Stage Five will provide this plan free of charge for 12 months to young adults preparing for independence. Applications for communication expense support for these young adults will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 50 people until the end of July. Detailed information can be found by checking the support project section on the JaripjeongboON website.
Seo Sangwon, CEO of Stage Five, said, "We are pleased to be able to help reduce the burden of communication expenses for young adults preparing for independence and to enable them to connect with a wider world," adding, "As a digital communication innovation company, we will continue to actively seek ways to realize social value together."
