On the previous day, at the kickoff meeting held at the Government Complex Daejeon of the Military Manpower Administration, over 60 key stakeholders, including Kim Jongcheol, Commissioner of the Military Manpower Administration, and Lee Wonju, CEO of DKTechin, discussed the direction for digital transformation and strategies for advancing the project to drive innovation in national defense.

The Military Administration Digital Platform Construction Project aims to build a platform that enables one-stop processing of military administration tasks by modernizing and automating the aging military administration system. As a result, public officials at the Military Manpower Administration will be able to enhance work efficiency, while conscripts will have access to a variety of convenient mobile-based services.

To achieve this, DKTechin will leverage advanced IT technologies such as cloud, artificial intelligence (AI), and big data, focusing on: ▲ migrating information systems to the cloud ▲ standardizing and integrating military manpower data management ▲ implementing mobile-based, citizen-centric convenience services.

In particular, conscripts will benefit from services such as: ▲ 'Enlistment Support Recommendation,' which suggests optimal options based on their preferred enlistment timing and conditions ▲ 'Integrated Notification,' which provides personalized information on fulfilling military service ▲ and a paperless civil service office, among other convenience services.

Additionally, in the event of a national security crisis, 'remote site redundancy for information systems' will ensure rapid wartime response, maintaining the continuity of military administration and providing a stable database (DB) operation foundation even during wartime. This will establish a data backup and recovery system to prepare for wartime and disaster situations.

CEO Lee stated, "Based on the capabilities we have accumulated through promoting digital transformation projects in various fields such as public, finance, and mobility, we will contribute to the next-generation innovation of military administration."
