SK Chemicals is expanding its brand lineup by introducing a small-packaged version of its blood circulation enhancer, Gineksin.
On May 20, SK Chemicals announced the launch of a new addition to its Gineksin lineup, a blood circulation enhancer containing ginkgo leaf extract: "Gineksin F 120mg 10 tablets" (Gineksin 10 tablets), packaged in units of 10 tablets.
Among domestic pharmaceuticals containing ginkgo leaf extract, Gineksin is the first to be released in a small package of 10 tablets. The newly launched "Gineksin 10 tablets" stands out for its compact and convenient packaging, which enhances portability compared to the previously bulk-oriented packaging. According to the company, this product was designed to address the inconvenience for consumers such as office workers and travelers, who frequently need to transfer medication from large containers. It is also suitable for short-term use or for patients at the initial stage of symptom management, such as those experiencing temporary dizziness or tinnitus.
Gineksin, manufactured using SK Chemicals' patented technology to extract active ingredients from ginkgo leaves, is a pharmaceutical product that lowers blood viscosity and dilates blood vessels. Recently, the range of applications for ginkgo leaf extract has been expanding, as its effectiveness in improving memory decline and reduced concentration, in addition to enhancing blood circulation, has been proven.
In addition, it has shown effectiveness in alleviating symptoms such as orthostatic dizziness, which occurs when standing up after sitting, as well as memory decline and tinnitus, which are representative symptoms of the increasingly prominent digital syndrome.
Park Hyunsun, Head of Pharma Business at SK Chemicals, stated, "As modern lifestyles change rapidly, the number of patients experiencing symptoms such as dizziness, tinnitus, and memory decline is increasing. Based on the proven blood circulation improvement effects of ginkgo leaf extract through decades of use, we will continue to diversify our products so that patients can conveniently take their medication in a wider variety of situations."
Meanwhile, "Gineksin 10 tablets" will be supplied first through ChamYaksa member pharmacies, and will also be available for order on "BanPharm." Following the pharmacy-exclusive 10-tablet product, SK Chemicals plans to sequentially launch a 20-tablet product for public health centers and public institutions.
