H Chat AI Service Supports In-House Intellectual Property Operations
Holds Largest Number of AUTOSAR-Related Patents in Korea
On May 19, Hyundai AutoEver received the Minister of Science and ICT Award at the 60th Invention Day Ceremony held at COEX Magok in Gangseo-gu, Seoul.
At this event, Hyundai AutoEver was selected as an organization of merit for invention promotion. Each year, the Korean Intellectual Property Office and the Korea Invention Promotion Association hold the Invention Day event and select awardees in five categories: inventors, contributors to invention, contributors to invention promotion, contributors to invention education, and organizations of merit for invention promotion.
Hyundai AutoEver was recognized for its contribution to strengthening the nation’s technological competitiveness through vehicle software development and intellectual property management. In particular, the company received high praise for establishing a strategic intellectual property management system.

Hyundai AutoEver is advancing its intellectual property management processes, including patent application, patent analysis, and employee invention compensation. In addition, the company is utilizing its generative AI service, H Chat, to support in-house intellectual property operations. Hyundai AutoEver employees can easily access intellectual property information through Q&A with H Chat.
The high-quality intellectual property secured by Hyundai AutoEver has also attracted attention. The company has filed approximately 3,000 domestic patents and 800 overseas patents. The application fields include vehicle software, navigation, and smart factories. Notably, Hyundai AutoEver holds the largest number of patents in Korea related to AUTOSAR, the international standard for vehicle software.
Previously, Hyundai AutoEver received the Commissioner’s Award from the Korean Intellectual Property Office at the 2023 ICT Patent Management Awards hosted by the Korea Electronics Association, and at the 2024 Corporate Intellectual Property Awards hosted by the Korea Intellectual Property Association.
