The Second-Highest Record in the History of the Commercial Vehicle Division
Since the implementation of Hyundai Motor’s ‘Sales Honor Award System,’ a new top sales performer has emerged in the commercial vehicle division by achieving a cumulative sales record of 3,000 units?the second highest in the company’s history.
On May 20, Hyundai Motor announced that Byungchul Kang, Sales Director at the West Truck Branch (age 54), has reached a cumulative sales milestone of 3,000 commercial vehicles.
Kang joined Hyundai Motor in 1997 and achieved this remarkable record after 28 years. Previously, in February 2022, he earned the title of ‘Sales Master’ by reaching a cumulative sales figure of 2,500 commercial vehicles.
Kang expressed his feelings by saying, “I am delighted to have my efforts over the past 28 years recognized,” and added, “I want to thank my family, colleagues who supported me along the way, and above all, my customers for helping me achieve this milestone of 3,000 cumulative sales.”
He also cited “love for customers and the attitude of listening” as the key secrets behind selling 3,000 commercial vehicles, stating, “I will continue to treat customers like family, empathize with them, and do my very best.”
Hyundai Motor operates various award systems, including the Sales Honor Award System, the nationwide Master of the Year, and The Class Awards, to encourage Car Masters who give their best in the field and to promote healthy sales competition.
In the commercial vehicle division, the award system grants titles and prizes as follows: ‘Sales Artisan’ for 1,000 cumulative sales, ‘Sales Grand Master’ for 1,500, ‘Sales Maestro’ for 2,000, and ‘Sales Master’ for 2,500 cumulative sales.
