Hamyang County "Tailband" Wins Grand Prize at Gyeongsangnam-do Youth Unity Festival

The Hamyang County Youth Support Center announced on May 20 that the club "Tailband," which it sponsors, received the Grand Prize at the 28th Gyeongsangnam-do Youth Unity Festival Youth Club Music Competition.

This year's festival was held over two days, from May 17 to 18, at the Geoje Sports Complex under the theme "Youth Sailing Toward Dreams." More than 6,000 youths from across Gyeongsangnam-do participated in the event, which featured a variety of programs including performances, experience booths, talk concerts, and awards for distinguished contributors.

Among the 30 teams that competed in the music competition, "Tailband" delivered a powerful performance of Yoon Dohyun Band's "White Whale," leaving a strong impression on both the audience and the judges, and ultimately earning the Grand Prize.

The youth members of the band shared their thoughts on winning, saying, "Through the song's message of living in this wide world without fear, we wanted to give hope to our peers who may be feeling anxious."

An official from Hamyang County stated, "We will continue to provide unwavering support and encouragement so that young people can pursue their dreams with confidence in a variety of fields."
